As one of the largest American Medical Students Association (AMSA) chapters in the world, AMSA is focused on giving its members opportunities for valuable clinical experience.
Members, currently over 600 members at the Dominican campus, are involved with community outreach programs that have helped improve the lives of hundreds of people.
Student-led programs developed by AMSA include AIDS Project Dominica, Women's Health Task Force, Health Fairs, and the Community Screening Project.
As you will quickly learn, AMSA is made up of motivated, intelligent, and caring students with hundreds of members becoming the top health professionals in their field.

Dr. Schipul served AMSA as faculty sponsor. His guidance and mentorship were essential in the implementation in enumerated programs benefiting members as well as the island nation of Dominica. He will be missed.
